Attending the naat classes, taught to us by our extremely talented teachers, has helped me in ways I couldn't imagine. I'm proud to say my confidence has grown massively as I can now recite anywhere in front of anyone to a higher standard than ever before. Having such great teachers not only helps us vocaly, but mentally, as we are taught about the deeper parts into naat khawani i.e. adab when reciting, different styles of reciting, meanings and moods of a naat etc. Amazing work by them Ma'Sha'Allah.

My son has attended the classes for a short period of time in comparison to others. However, during this time he has developed further interpersonal skills, such as confidence and able re-check his own work by going online to listen to the original naat and then applying this to his learning. He seems very happy after the class and is very eager to recite to us on what he’s learnt! Thank you Umar for helping him in every way. I hope he develops more in the coming years.

Rehaan and Musaddiq have always been looking forward in attending the naat classes every week. They gained a lot of confidence in reciting in front of a crowd. Most importantly they are learning what naat khawani is really about. These classes are very educating because they not only focus on the voice, but also look at the meanings behind the naats. Really appreciate the help of the teachers in helping the children to improve and gain more knowledge. May Allah reward the teachers for all their hard work and efforts. Ameen

Without a doubt Sudais has grown in confidence but more importantly he has started to grasp the deep meaning behind what he is reciting and why it was written in that particular style. Understanding the powerful message has without a shadow of doubt has increased his love for our beloved Messenger of Allah. As a parent it is of utmost importance to instil that connection and love at a young age and we've truly experienced that in our child whilst attending these classes. He has found a new yearning to go and visit RasoolAllah and recite in the courtyard of the beloved Insha 'Allah

Since You're Here...
… we have a small favour to ask. We are benefitting more people than ever before, as we have emerged as a leader in the propagation and dissemination of traditional, Sunni Islam. Through our seminars, digital media content, publications, lectures, tours, and classes, we continue to revive the tradition of learning and teaching in Islam.
Almost all our projects operate at a loss, as our only goal is to strengthen our communities by tackling issues of disadvantage and exclusion head-on. So, you can see why we need to ask for your help. The work we are blessed to undertake at Essential Islam’s takes a lot of time, money, and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe in our mission – because it might well be your perspective, too.
On a very limited budget, our small team of hard-working volunteers have brought benefit to over 37 million people around the world. We have also been fortunate enough to raise of £1,700,000 for charity to help our fellow Muslims in different parts of the world.
Now imagine what could be achieved with better resources and support?
